Kinko Ryu (School) 1.8 made around the 1950s - 60s.
Pitched in A = 442 HZ. Repaired superficial cracks with topical urushi coated nylon bindings, refurbished Nakatsuki joint wrap and in interior. There was also some urushi refurbishing in the top section behind the utaguchi and interior male part of the joint.
This flute is a great Kinko style shakuhachi. There is no maker’s stamp but it is made by a master maker or by an apprentice. Everything plays accordingly with the desired technical depth and tone color of a fine Kinko instrument. It is perfect for traditional study and concert performance. Flutes of this caliber normally start at more than twice the price offer here. All my instruments are available for audition and I recommend serious students have their teachers evaluate the instrument. Payment must be made in full and buyer is responsible for all shipping.
