Here is an antique Tensei 1.7 length Monk’s shakuhachi I collected in Kyoto around 2002. It was presumably made by a Komuso Monk probably over 100 years ago. Tensei flutes are usually repaired or restored but this one was in great condition. I only cleaned the flute out. The dust in the bore was quite thick when first come into it.
