Here is a list of the most basic accessories for the shakuhachi:

- some kind of airtight container to store your flute when it is not being played. A long tube plastic storage bag is available in my accessories department but a simple kitchen trash bag will do as long as it is rolled up airtight.

- A leather cap to protect the utaguchi blowing edge/mouthpiece.

- Tsuyutoshi Moisture draw cloth to swab the breath moisture from out of the bore.

After you have these, you may want a decorative cloth bag or an architects tube for a carry case. These are great ways to protect your fine flute.
